What is "Writing?"

Oliver Stone's answer might surprise you.

We each battle resistance so it’s encouraging and heartening to recognize the common threads in all of our artistic struggles.

One of my favorite missives on writing is from Oliver Stone:

“Writing is ass plus seat.”

Can’t say it any plainer. Or with more veracity. Just make sure you have a comfortable chair.

And keep writing — even if it’s just about writing.
